Artist Statement

My work explores the emotional and psychological landscapes that exist beneath everyday experience. Through figurative, landscape, still life, and symbolic imagery, I investigate themes of presence, memory, transformation, and self-discovery.

I am drawn to moments that invite quiet attention: a figure lost in thought, a familiar landscape, treasured objects gathered over time, or the subtle interplay of light and shadow. Rather than documenting a specific place or event, my paintings seek to capture the atmosphere of a moment and the inner experiences that often remain unseen.

Across my work, light functions as both a visual and symbolic element. It reveals, conceals, guides, and transforms. Whether exploring introspection through portraiture, memory through landscape, or psychological narratives through symbolism, I am interested in what emerges when we slow down and look more closely.

My paintings invite viewers to pause, reflect, and consider the spaces between observation and understanding, where meaning often resides waiting to be discovered.
